Project Description
We used Marchantia polymorpha as one of the model species for basal land plants to analyze the role of DNA methylation in plant evolution. MpMET is the ortholog of Arabidopsis DNA methyltransferase MET1 gene. To reveal MpMET function, we generated MpMET mutants and analyzed transcript by RNA-seq using Mpmet mutants and WT Machantia.
